Mental Health Crisis Lifeline

July 5th 2024

A mental health crisis is a serious situation where someone’s mental or emotional state makes them a danger to themselves or others, or unable to take care of themselves. It can involve sudden worsening of symptoms, like mania or psychosis, or suicidal or homicidal thoughts. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, it’s important to get help immediately to ensure their safety and well-being.

Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org. 988 is confidential, free crisis service that is available to everyone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Lifeline connects people to the nearest crisis center in the Lifeline national network. These centers provide crisis counseling and mental health referrals.

For Veterans and Service Members: Chat with the Veterans Crisis Line or text 838255.
