Affordable Connectivity Program
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which ran out of funds in May 2024, provided a monthly consumer benefit of $30 to eligible households to afford high-speed internet services. The program was widely popular across the US serving 21 million Americans. There are more than one bill in Congress to save AFC.
- H.R.6929/S.3565 - Affordable Connectivity Program Extension Act of 2024
- S.4317 - A bill to appropriate funds for the Federal Communications Commission’s “rip and replace” program and Affordable Connectivity Program, to improve the Affordable Connectivity Program, to require a spectrum auction, and for other purposes.
- S.4207 - Spectrum and National Security Act of 2024
- H.R.1119 - Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 6929) to appropriate funds for the Affordable Connectivity Program of the Federal Communications Commission.
All this activity does NOT mean Congress will do anything about the ACP which is why YOU need to call your representative tell them to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program. Find your government representatives here.
