About the Clubhouse

The Boley’s Consumer Advocacy Council’s Clubhouse initiative aims to reduce relapse by decreasing isolation and increasing community involvement. This is crucial, as the relapse rate for major depression can be as high as 85% within a decade after the initial episode. In fact, the chance of relapse after discontinuing effective treatment is 50% in just 6 months. The lack of support from family, friends, and community can exacerbate these already alarming statistics. Chronic illness often leads to the loss of much, if not all, of one’s support network, leaving individuals to rebuild from rock bottom. Alarmingly, the United States has some of the highest rates of mental illness and substance abuse among developed nations.

To address these challenges, the Clubhouse is open to all Boley Centers’ clients, providing a space for everyone to thrive in their recovery. This Clubhouse website serves as a communication and news platform for members of the Consumer Advocacy Council, an inclusive organization that represents all Boley Centers’ clients. The Council provides a forum to address the concerns of its members about Boley Centers’ programs and facilities. We encourage all of you to engage and share your perspectives.
